MiniCLT
We’re unlocking new potential in good old fashioned wood
What is MiniCLT?
MiniCLT is a small format Cross Laminated Timber plank developed using high-performance European gluing technology.
CLT construction provides strength by gluing three layers of timber, with the middle layer at right angles to the outer layers.
Engineered wood.
For glue lamination of our MiniCLT planks we use the latest Swiss glue technology from Henkel. Purbond is a durable inert polyurethane moisture cure glue which is resistant to hydroysis, oxidation and thermal or microbial degradation. Designed for exterior hazard class 3 use, it complies with New Zealand standards (AS/NZ 4364:2010).
Timber durability.
MicroPro® pressure treated timber products are protected from termites, borers and fungal decay and are backed by a Koppers® Limited Guarantee* for fifty years. Compliant with AS/NZS 1604, NZS 3604 and NZ EPA.
Unique to us.
Being an in-house designed product we have also had to in-house design our entire manufacture process to ensure consistency in both quality and production volume. Our skilled engineering department designed, constructed and installed the hydraulic presses in-line with our glue spreaders, moulder, end trimmers and planners enabling complete understanding and process control from start to finish.
Why MiniCLT?
Naturally Stronger
With structural strength similar to that of concrete or steel, MiniCLT has a high resistance to deflection.
Naturally Simpler
MiniCLT engineered ready-to-assemble systems reduce installation time and associated costs.
Naturally Nicer
Timber is one of the few renewable construction resources. Building with wood is better for all.
Naturally Local
MiniCLT is designed and manufactured right here in New Zealand.
