Residential Construction Systems.
We’re working on it
We are developing construction systems for housing using MiniCLT components to enable everyday Kiwis to be able to live with quality engineered wood construction.
Our architectural team is currently working alongside local authorities to build concise footprint MiniCLT housing to test and improve the application of our engineered wood products in New Zealand housing.
MiniCLT in action
We built a 60m2 minor dwelling in just 15 days
Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) significantly reduces construction waste with built to measure engineered wood components. Like a cross between jumbo plywood and wooden Lego, our MiniCLT building blocks simply slot into place and fix with screws.
A world first for New Zealand
The Kiwi pioneering spirit is well and truly alive with Laminata being the worlds first and only manufacturer of small format Cross Laminated Timber we call MiniCLT.
Artfully designed for a multitude of building applications, MiniCLT brings the latest engineered wood technology from Europe and combines this with the practical innovation New Zealand is renowned for.
Living with wood
Wood is one of the oldest building materials used by humanity and with the latest technological innovations it is one of the most modern. Timber is the only renewable building material currently available and forms a long-term store of carbon, helping fight climate change
Using wood in building interiors is proven* to improve air quality by moderating humidity while reducing stress response (pulse rate and blood pressure) and improves emotional state and self-expression. * Planet Ark – Housing, health Humanity Report 2017
